Having a Black Blade, Logia Fruit, and Logia Awakening is such an insane combo I genuinely can’t imagine him not being a top 1 with that trio.

Black blades however are an entirely different matter, you must be an actual swordsman who actually gives a shit about his blade, and would feel ashamed if a single nick scratched its surface. “The will of a swordsman” and all that gibberish, that is what will be the key to black blades.

Not really, that was just Mihawk’s philosophy on swordsmanship. There is no law that states all swordsman must think this way. All you need to achieve a black blade is to fight battles with your blade for a while. Mihawk achieved the black blade in something like 10 years, commit to a blade for that long and you’ll surely achieve one of you want to.

Aramaki probably achieved the black blade before finding his Devil fruit.

Ryokugyu is nature incarnate, something larger than life and rivals the power of the ocean. Find it pretty hard imagining someone as grand as this giving two shits about some blade, and trying to hone his swordsmanship to perfection and what not

I could say the same about Kuzan, why hone your punching power if you can create ice continents with your fingertips? That’s just who and what the Admirals are. They master every fighting style. You can’t hold the Admiral rank if you’re just a one trick pony with a Devil fruit lol.

Fujitora doesn’t lack the haki to make a black blade, only the will.

Even without ACoC, i have a hard time seeing that combo losing to even Kuzan, Sakazukis near equal, at this current moment.

Tbf Sakazuki could have trained and gotten even stronger (probably got ACoC, kind of needs that to compete with Luffy who has an awakened Mythical Zoan and all types of Advanced Haki) after their fight, or probably got a Haki bloom in the middle of the fight which got him the win.
But yeah, I just can't see Aramaki having a Black Blade, not because of lack of strength or anything, but because he doesn't seem to use his sword alot and the way he acts makes me think he may not be a conqueror.

Because Ryokugyu and Ryuma are dedicated swordsmen. Ryokugyu isn’t a pure swordsman, he is similar to Fujitora in that he is a hybrid fighter.
