I don't want zoro to fight king cuz it gonna nerf king and yc1's. If zoro beats king injured the down play would reach galactic proportions. It makes sense to me for marco to fight and beat king then use the rest of his strength to heal luffy and/or zoro as much as he can before bowing out. If zoro takes on king marco probably goes to kaido or BM to get swatted down sinces he's already injured, isn't on their level to begin with, and already used alot of regen. Even then zoro more than likely still plays a role even after taking down king. I just want marco to get a clear W on panel and to play his role in the war. He clearly wants this to be a war for the new gen and is playing support. Oda hyping zoro again with king is cool with me but I prefer marco to take down king as it makes more sense in the story rn.
I’m not personally worried about de-hyping YC1s going forward because after this arc the structure of the remaining Yonko crews appears to be very different than what we have now.
I subscribe to the opinion that Vice Captains and standard YC1 are not equal. The gaps between Roger-Rayleigh, Shanks-Beckman, Luffy-Zoro, Kidd-Killer, and I think we can fairly assume Blackbeard-Shiryu are by all indications different than the gaps between Bigmom-Katakuri & Kaido-King.
For the next remaining arcs Vice Captain hype is way more relevant than YC1 hype IMO.
And while I can understand wanting Marco to get his W, I’ll always personally prefer a W for Zoro, but that is very subjective and up to taste.

I agree VC have a very different portrayal than yc1. VC are portrayed as next to the captain pretty much being a second captain on the crew while yc1 are viewed as the most capable after the captain usually by a huge margin between captain and yc1.

It does when one is much skilled than the other, doriki just measure's their phisical ability taking out of the equasion stuff like DF's and skill with weapons. What does Jabura df does for him asside than elevating his base stats? meanwhile Kaku's df gives him a completely new and much deadlier means of atacking in the form of a long neck on top of also increasing hsi base stats. Plus the measurement of his doriki was done when kaku was not holding any sword, even though we already know he uses 2 long swords when he is serious.

Both of them have fighting styles beyond simple rokushiki - Jabra has iron body kung fu and Kaku has 4 sword style

Stop lying, Jabura's only advanced techinique was his walking tekai and thats it, once you get past its durability he is pretty much useless in everything else. Why do he need claws when he already can use shigan, unless his shigan was shit to begin with? Zoro was able to hold both of them off while using Ussop as a sword. 4 sword style in base, but he was also using his neck while in DF, he even slashed the entire building with it.

Kakus swordsmanship is at the level of his dorki. Both Jabura and Kaku get a boost from thier dfs, the gap doesn't change at all.
