It the same thing, Zoro without his swords and Luffy without his fruit are weaker versions of themselves if they don't adapt another fighting style.

You're the one that pushing werido hate arguments that Luffy dies in senario where the gomu gomu no saved him.

You're constantly flip flopping between 2 senarios, pick one and stick to it...

1) Luffy's actual journey without his devil fruit (which makes no sense because the story is based around him having a fruit so obviously taking it away diminishes everything). A number of situations Luffy would not have placed into by the author if it weren't for the gomu gomu

2) A senario where Luffy doesn't have the fruit and has to adapt a different style

Luffys journey until he leaves his village doesn't change with or without his fruit

What happens after does
Which is the whole point

Garp didn't train him or ace outside of throwing them in the jungle
So why would it be different here

The fact is he got hard carried
And if he does the same journey without it he dies a million times.

I doubt that. He woud still be strong an early age, maybe even stronger than he is now at an earlier age.

Remember he spent 10 years mastering control of his fruit, INSTEAD of training his physical strength and Staff weapons training.

Now take those 10 years and have him exclusively work on his physical strength and staff weapons training.
