I interpreted it as Oda needs to get a bit more creative when it comes to having Luffy win. It will definitely be a punch, or many punches, but its "how" he does it that will be important.

The "Roc"/Big Bird series of moves are now the next avenue for Luffy and his movement. We'll get a few chapters of that followed by the application with G4 or something I'm sure (new form or not). Then maybe G5. Awakening sounds like the last avenue Oda will go with Luffy, so I doubt we'll see that here

If kaido is still good and luffy fail to defeat him , then zoro of nowhere and one shot. Kaido by cutting him head off. Tejas will have mental breakdown and excuse for this.

it still a punch, it is exaclty what Oda didnt want: Luffy's punch is so strong that aint enough to take down Kaido, and look now they laughing each other after a punch.

Well guys, it look like Oda didnt find yet a proper way to defeating Kaido, cuz Luffy arsenal are just powerfull punch with advcoc hacky.

But even with advcoc hacky it is just a punch, very powerful punch.

If advcoc hacky is the key, well then also Zoro can defeat kaido.

I don't care at all about how Luffy should defeat Kaido. I'm fine by simply having logic on it. Stronger punches without Luffy getting knocked out, one-shotted, two-shotted would be great. I can't stand Luffy getting beat up and coming back stronger while villains can only be beat up once.

I expected the strawhats vs kaido+ luffy's awakening


Luffy turning the ground into rubber to bounce back and hit kaido with attacks harder than the ones he sent luffy flying with would've been perfect

It's not just a punch, it's the smartest strategy he could come up with and it would've been poetic

He turns his ability to get his ass royally whooped by kaido into his strength and eventually defeats him
