Moria's not going to join Blackbeard, the guy just killed one of his crewmates. For all Moria's faults, he cares a hell of a lot about his crew.

We might be looking too much into the Blackbeard Pirates 11 vs 11 matchup. For all we know Luffy will Blueno one, or Sabo will finish off Burgess permanently, or Kuzan will kill one off. Not knowing who the Tenth Commander is really makes it difficult to speculate too much on what it could mean for the Strawhats.

Although I understand and agree with you here, but he has no other option besides getting killed... I also think it would be cool if BB and Moria come to Wano and do some crazy shit!

Not sure if it would be the right decision let one of the SHs defeat two members of BB’s crew known it’s gonna be the final battle of SHs vs pirates for the PK title!!

Carrot may be a one-dimensional side-character, but at least she's not a psychotic Doflamingo cultist like Monet.

I really struggle to find one, because most guys that imo fit the Strawhat criteria are bound by something else. People often bring up all these different patterns but i think are forgetting the most important one that fits every member so far: Luffy is the one recruiting, you need Luffys approval. Perona for example is a popular choice, but Luffys reaction as she appeared with Zoro after the timeskip was "who is she?". Shes a dull and uninteresting character in Luffys eyes so why would he invite her?

Then there is Pudding who is someone Luffy liked at 1st, he foreshadowed her joining on Zou when he found out Sanji is getting married, but we havent seen any opinion or panelled reaction from him on her since she told him that Sanji will die, so even though she started off with lots of potential, Oda quickly removed her from the discussion (should i say for now?).

With Momo he has already a bond, he constantly challenges him and helps him grow, but hes still just a kid and heir to the Wano shogunate, so thats 2 things eliminating him even though hes practically already a "nakama". Kinemon seemingly fits the best but why draw a wife for him that hasnt seen him in 20 years if he was to come along? Hes been around the whole time in the New World, Oda could have easily skipped that detail if he planned him to join,

And my last point, Jinbe. He was such an impactful figure to Luffy and the story since 1st being mentioned in East Blue, he saved Luffys life more times now, he stood against admirals and yonko in Luffys name, he restored Luffys will to go on after Ace died, their bond was immense even before Luffy saw him again 2 years later. And after the timeskip their relationship grew even stronger. So how are you gonna top this then? Anyone who joins now wont have near as much clue about what Luffy has been through so far as the original 8 and Jinbe (unless its someone from pre TS like Bon Clay or Hancock, but such characters have been absent for a while). Does this narrow the choice or close the door, im not sure. Just hope that we wont get a disappointment like what Oda has written Carrot into so far.

Blackbeard already has 11 members aside from Aokiji. He has 10 Titanic captains. There is an additional member he got over the timeskip, people seem to be missing this fact. Aokiji is clearly in it for something else and not a captain.


This info should already solidify Luffy at least getting one more crew member. Not even including the fact that Oda loves soccer and a soccer team on the field has 11 members at any given point. Then you have Luffy's desire to find 10 crewmates, which he mentioned back in East Blue.

Hancock would be the best to fit the crew... She can be a good frontline for espionage and stealth missions (as seen on how she managed to smuggle Luffy on WG facilities (escort ship with a VA, Impel Down)...

but her reason to sail isn't strong enough to join. And about Pedro's will only take her to join the grandfleet. Until she says herself about the dawn of the world things, it's still hard for me to think that she will join the crew

Because she adds nothing. Compare her to every Strawhat during their character arcs, see how they are portrayed, see how Luffy views them and interacts with them, and you will see how she pales in comparison.

Pedros will was to let them sail on/escape Tottoland, and he died for it. Carrot sailing with them adds zero meaning to this. Because lets be real, do they really need protection from Carrot of all people? And youre right, witnessing the dawn was Pedros thing, which made him interesting. Carrot has no similar ambition. I feel like Oda is still saving his trump card for member 10, because all current 'candidates' arent quite up to it (some more some less)

She's a burden, especially to Sanji...

I can't forget how she attacked Katakuri only to be trapped to near death and has to be saved... And then there was the time when Sanji has to save her from Daifuku's genie, oh so convenient as a lookout, can't even see something huge approaching her that easy...

Is she powerful enough for the SH future battles? Only during full moon (29.5/30 days in a month as a burden), with time limit and can't even hurt veterans... Plus she knows no Haki, the crew has too much non-Haki users ATM...

The crew needs, at least, Pedro or Sicilian level if not Scabbards level...

In essence, she's not a real character, she has no personality of her own, she's a walking stereotype that is linear and lacks identity. Everything about Carrot screams basic in the worst type of way, her Persona has no substance, no life, no soul, no heart, no complexity, no individuality, no distinction, no originality, no contrast, no nothing. She's only selling you fabricated tears, fabricated smiles, fabricated cuteness, fabricated cheerfulness, fabricated fearlessness, fabricated wonderment, she's a superbly decorated christmass present with no gift inside. Why would you want Carrot to join the Strawhats if she has zero to offer other than a nice wrap?

Not sure if BB ever referred to a warlord when he said he want that thing before marines... BB used the words “it” so doesn’t seem to be a person... a DF? Some kind of weapon?

Nah, it took me time, but I made sure that it was actually confirmed BB said “it” and talked about that thing as a “prize”.

The thing is, BB´s statement should be motivated by a new development in the world, and as far as we know, there are only two, Sabo/Revos and Shichibukai.
And considering Shichibukai are only just getting hunted, while Sabo seems to have been captured, it would make sense, even if it sucks. Can´t see what any of the Shichibukai might have that he wants.
