i don't disagree with you, but kaido is different from all of luffy's previous opponents, also the fact that kaido can't be defeated in a 1v1 has been (like you said) drummed into us since dressrosa, even more in wano it's a well known fact in the one piece universe, yamato admitted she can't win against him despite kaido himself praising her strength when he only mocked luffy's power.

there are fights that one can't win on his own, even if he's the king of pirates, roger had to team up with garp to defeat rocks, luffy had to team up with zoro and sanji to fight aokiji, and with the entire crew to defeat oars, and the pacifista.

i don't mind luffy getting the last wining hit, but until then he will not be alone.

Kaido evaluates other people's strength as their value as a subordinate.
He evaluates Luffy as a PK competitor.
Different standards
Luffy has already exceeded his estimations several times in this battle, and even fought him 1vs1 for 30 minutes while Kaido was using adv Coc which he hasn't seemed to against Yamato so far.

Kaido isn't Rocks level, and that team up was between two D's, both related to Luffy's inherited will, one being his closest living relative who he actually knew and grew up with, the other being the man who held the PK title before him. Luffy is the union of those two aspects already. Rocks wanted to be the King of the world, not PK which didn't really exist as a concept back then, Kaido wants to be PK, so is directly competing with Luffy.

Luffy started a team up fight with Aokiji, but then ordered them to retreat so he could have a 1vs1, bad example there.

Oars was more of a weapon than a character, containing Luffy's spirit and in the end it was Luffy who fought him (and Moria) 2vs1 with his special boosted form.

The Pacifista was a weapon, not really a character, designed to drum home how the strawhats had so far to go in their journey, Luffy was hyped as the fifth yonko coming into this arc, has a grand fleet, yonko commanders of his own, has learnt adv Coc which only the strongest have, etc. etc.

Kaido not losing 1v1 is just a huge Chekhov gun waiting to be fired, just like Katakuri legend that he was undefeatable and wouldn't fall on his back.

katakuri's reputation was a lie that got exposed way before luffy was able to defeat him, even his sister who created the myth admitted that to him, katakuri wasn't said to have fought any strong pirate of note, only his family believed in the rumor.

how is big mom didn't take any damage, she screamed pretty loudly when law attacked her with counter shock, also kid and law damage doesn't remotely come close to luffy and zoro, they just took some elemental attacks that does relatively low damage, and some easily survivable attacks.
also we mustn't forget that zoro's recovery is on a timer, so he won't be fighting forever.so luffy's glory is still preserved.
king was shown bleeding just from two basic attacks from marco, so he doesn't come close in durability to kaido, zoro has proven to do serious damage even overpowering kaido with some attacks, it'll be very underwhelming if he struggled against an king that wasn't even able to defeat marco.

She is literally fresh bro. That was the only attack she actually felt unlike Kaido why are you twisting stuff so much? Big Mom hasn't received not even 10% of the stuff Kaido has been taking.
Marco was said to be in the race for the next Yonkou spot so it is only normal King hasn't defeated him so again no it wouldn't be underwhelming having Zoro beat the second strongest guy in Kaido's crew just like it won't be underwhelming see him defeat Shiryu as well later when we face Blackbeard crew.

But Luffy has suffered very little damage so far and his last defeat was apparently due to physical wear and tear.

Ragnarok knocked him out, he gutsed his way through a Boro breath, he took a Raime Hakke to the face.

Before that he was momentarily knocked out by Apoo, chomped on by queen mid flight, took an Ulti head smash directly to the skull.

I wouldn't say that is very little damage, more the fact that Luffy has high willpower and stamina, he took a beating from Katakuri for several hours while he was mostly defenseless, even had his organ drilled and was drugged and carried on.

Isnt sanjis va directly working under oda, why would he even keep the va of sanji if he didnt liked him, just hire someone else, this has nothing to do with the character Sanji lmao.
Oda probably enjoyed when his wife was decked by Sanjis va, this is the only explanation why he loves him so much.

Seems like this cover literally hint all CoC users(we know Ace had it), King vs Zoro could play a good role when it come to CoC battle, I can see now King having CoC too. Question is rather when Sanji unlock his CoC, against Queen or later?

I used to believe so hard Sanji will unlock it in WCI but he missed the opportunity tbh, like u need THE moment and Sanji doesnt feel like he will have one
