In all the manga and any fight of luffy the author never emphasized his heartbeats or even made them stop, kaido is not wrong in stating that he died, his beats stopped, now if he dies and joyboy comes back with an armor of the even stronger plot, this is no longer Kaido's problem, he just needs to kill the joyboy too.​
