You just don't understand it.

Being rushed from a writing perspective has nothing to do with how many total chapters it took.

It's all about:

1) Does the ending feel like a satisfying conclusion at this point?
2) Are there still open plot-points that need to get resolved first?
3) Does the ending/aftermath-pacing fit the rest of the pacing this arc?

Storywriting failed in every single one of those points.

But it's always easy to say "it's a you-problem" when cognitive dissonance kicks in.

Again. Wait until the arc is over.

Only #2 is not subjective and #3 can't be answered yet because it depends on how long we are physically in Wano.

But yes, otherwise, I get what you are saying, I just can't agree until the arc is physically, actually done before I make judgment on pacing.

Maybe it gets answered when Oda decides to show Tengu again. He's been missing for 2 chapters (probably with Robin, Inu and Denjoro). I still think he's going to give Zoro Nidai in exchange for Sandai. Sandai returning to Tengu (he made it, Nidai is much older) would make sense.

Now the conversation shifted from "rushed" to it being "anticlimactic". This is a YOU problem. Other things happened in all of those chapters. And no, only 2 chapters (1047/1048) ended with Kaido and Luffy clashing.



Again, a YOU problem. YOU guys didn't want to believe it was ending, so YOU guys came up with excuses to not believe in it ending. Then when it ended, YOU guys were disappointed and claim it's anticlimatic.


Stick to the argument bro. We are talking about rushing in an arc that is not yet over. We don't even know if or even how Oda can leave Wano in 16 more pages, if that's even happening. Maybe revisit this thought process next week, or maybe wait until you see the crew leave before you say things like "Kiku didn't react to Izou's death" even though you have no idea if she'll say something next chapter or the following or the following about it.

Yeah it was so important to learn about Hawkins, see how Bepo feels about Franky Shogun, get a bath time double spread, and watch Momonosuke running around saying random shit doesn't hurt.

The dropkick from Hiyori has more narrative space than the death of Izo for Kiku.
