Mihawk was always called WSS that doesn't change anything if anything it shows WSS isn't everyone with a sword and is just the most skilled/powerful in the aspect of Swordsmanship
shanks fights with a sword tho
thats why they constantly compare the two together
why dont people understand this.

they arent comparing him to kaido or wb for a reason.

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.

he then says THE STRONGEST SWORDMAN IN THE WORLD right after comparing his swordmanship to his closest rival.
Mihawk's title is written the same as WB and Kaido's title when it comes to the 'strongest' kanji. It's gonna takes lots of gymnastics to explain why only WB and Kaido's titles relates to strength and Mihawk just skill lol

Except that this is a double edged sword....
You cannot say definitively that Shanks>Mihawk, cause they havent fought in 20 yrs

Im basing it off of portrayal and what Oda has shown/said.... not a biased headcanon towards a nostalgic character
I agree my point is only that you cannot use his title as the only argument but I do agree that Oda is overall portraying Mihawk to be stronger than Shanks.

getting so lame at this point
then again they saw his haki flex and thought he was stronger than kaido

they just dont like any title that might put him in someone else's shadow.
