Kaidou's wound start to bleed and his eyes turn white...
:usoprice:
Honestly trying to hype/showcase the scabbards has ruined kaido's portrayal. Should have handled this a lot better(or not hyped kaido at all).

And BM seems to have a plan. And I am seeing some positive light with Marco and convo about SHs.

Carrot sees Perospero and runs toward him to avenge Pedro.
:odenugh:

What force? Marco alone could stalemate Akainu while Ace gave a death speech.
First of all get your facts straight, it was Marco and Vista, but considering what Raizo has done to the fraud in this chapter, i don't blame you for having lost your mind.

Akainu no selled a sneak attack from Marco who is hyped by Meme and Vista who has Top Tier sword skills
:josad:

The Manga really took you apart

This Big Mom, Kaido alliance heavily points towards betrayal....When things go south, BM will deffo turn against Kaido lol.

BM telling Perospero to believe her was kinda nice! It's one of the rare panels where she is cool, calm and competent!! Hope she continues to be like this for rest of the arc.

I really liked the way she respected Marco!

Marco is just no mere first commander and Big mom clearly knows that.

Its interesting that this chapter receives some focus on Carrot/Yamato

- A big argument for Carrot fans was the pure fact that she needed some form of signficance in Wano beyond just being "present" with the Strawhats. Most people saw that as the potential future confrontation between Carrot and Perospero over Pedro. This is a GREAT first step to that idea. She's actually trying to get revenge on him. Now, we have no idea how this will play out, but it is signficant that we get this far. We may even get a small flashback between her and Pedro to help refine that idea. Or Wanda joins in, since she's been MIA for 15 chapters, and Oda splits the payoff/focus between both of them.

- Yamato being on the Jump cover with Luffy is a pretty huge deal. Like bigger than most people realize. 99% of the Jump covers almost ALWAYS involve a the following: Luffy, other Strawhats, and/or a Villain. There are VERY few exceptions, like ones that have Rayleigh, Roger or Oden, or one with the 4 Yonko, or several movie characters for a film promotion. Vivi has been on several, but she technically is a Strawhat. Kobra is also on one, but like Oden/Rayleigh/etc, he is fundamental to specific issues present in the story. Yamato is practically the first character on the cover with Luffy that is NOT (yet?) a Strawhat and has NOT been shown yet why they are so important (unlike everyone else that has been on a Jump cover). Keep in mind that there are over a Hundred featured Jump covers of One Piece, and very few break the staple of Luffy/Strawhats/Villains. Yamato being on the cover is very interesting to say the least. For reference: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Shonen_Jump

tldr: Yamato being on a Jump cover is super unorthodox (unless Oda is planning to make Yamato a strawhat) and Carrot going after Pero is the payoff Carrot fans have been waiting for.

Edit: yes, Law is also on one, but it's Law. He's pretty much the biggest character behind Luffy and his crew.

Scale defence is a hard counter to non Ryou infused attacks. It's like saying can Superman damage Enel without Haki or rubber gloves.
Luffy was more satisfied with his base tree destroying fist being effective against Kaido than the Kong organ he used.
Now Luffy has the best Ryou on the island.
That example has nothing to do with Kaido's scales. His scales are a solid thing which you can touch and damage when you have the enough damage, like any other material or item, there is nothing special about them. You need enough amount of AP, that's all.

adv haki bypasses durability, regular haki doesn't, it does not matter AP level if you have adv haki, even chopper could damage kaido if he had ryo.
Adv Haki does not bypass durability.
Emision Haki is normal Haki launched at a distance (and it is more powerfull than normal Haki).
Penetration Haki is the Emision one but it attacks within an object, but that part of the object still has some durability which the attack needs to surpass if it wants to damage it.

And scabbards does not have Penetration Haki, nor Oden. There is no proof of that.

I think of it like this:
If you hit a logia user with a hakiless King Kong Gun, the user won't take damage, but if you hit it with a normal punch with armament haki the user will take damage.
That's the thing about Kaido, if you hit him with a non ryo King Kong Gun he won't take damage and yet the Scabbards that don't have attacks on the level of KKG can hurt Kaido because they have ryou
No, wrong. That has nothing to do with Kaido's body. He did not have those features. There is nothing special about his hardness, he simply has X durability/hardness and you need that amount of power to damage him.
Things that ignore durability are things like Amputation of Law within his Room, Perona's ghosts, Sugar's ability, etc.
Advanced Haki is only another amplification of the power with Emission and Penetration still need to surpass the inside of the objetc/material/skin/whatever if wants to break it. The durability inside those things is not 0 (ZERO), it has X.

And anyway, scabbards does not have Penetration Haki. There is no hint of that cause Oden has no hint of that Haki either.

You don't read the manga do you?

It was initially both of them but then it was just Marco.

As for the other comments it's a bit tryhard don't you think? Oda is giving them Oden's haki to damage Kaido. This is someone we know is stronger than Akainu from Oda himself. So if they did this to Kaido then Akainu would likely be dead already.
