I don't think it's a wedding, because they are already allied and usually these things used to be done to actually make an alliance, and i don't see why a wedding should cause confusion since they all know BMP and BP formed an alliance, this is just to formally announce it....idk what....but i think it's something else

I really like this whole idea that Yamato will be handed the reigns of the beast pirate group.
potential sequence of events:
- Luffy defeats Yamato
- Alliances win/lose some battles
- ultimately lose the invasion
- Alliance gets saved by Neko
- end of 3rd arc
- Alliance regroups, calls for grandfleet and whitebeard pirates
- invade capital and take over WANO
- Re-invade Onigashima and beat both pirates crews of beast pirates/big mom pirates (without their captains)
- end of 4th arc
- kick Yonkou crews out of WANO and luffy claims the island as a protectorate
- end of 5th arc

---> on to Vegapunk/CP0 arc before finally heading to Elbaf for the last big arc.

I'm even partial to the idea that Kaido/BM just up and leave Wano to search for the remaining Rocks members to establish their goals (currently unknown but likely related to God Valley). This will allow the alliance to win back at Wano. Its possible that Elbaf isn't Big Mom centric like people are believing, but entirely Rocks centric instead, with another great war happening there before the final war.

Idk, seems like a lot but I am having a hard time imaging the current alliance winning against 2 Yonko still. If they leave and Yamato takes over as the leader of both, it makes the alliance that much more likely to win.

When I read that panel (before turning the page), I immediately hoped that he would announce something about finding the lost Road Poneglyph, meaning that the SHP could theoretically have access to all four by the end of Wano. If the series is truly as close to the end as we’ve heard, this would have been a perfect way to accelerate the inevitable.

As it is, I’m guessing Yamato is either being married off to a Charlotte (crossing my fingers for more Smoothie action), or is otherwise taking a position of (more) power in the crew. I’ve seen theories float around about Luffy facing off against Yonko children instead of the big dogs themselves as a Rocks/Garp 2.0, this would seem to imply something along those lines. Knowing Oda, though...who can say for sure what’s gonna fucking happen??

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's going to be a wedding. Yamato (a young otaku who dream to be a chad) will marry Flampe (That's Kaido important announcement and that's why BM brought her, she wanted an alliance with Kaido even before coming to Wano)

By getting the two married, a more solid bond forms between the beast and big mom pirates that isn't so easily betrayed through without consequences. he's a key currency in finalizing things between the two pirate crews.

Will Yamato be happy with his wife, Flampe?

I know this is a troll post, but in all seriousness, how can it be a wedding?

Remember, we as the readers learned that the news is surprising/confusing. Oda has to write dialogue in a way that serves as exposition. That means, the news with Yamato has to be surprising to us as well.

This is why I think it's either that:

- Yamato is the child of both Yonko
- Yamato will be given some sort of right or power over the new alliance

Personally idk, but all I know is as the reader, I'm expecting the news to he surprising and a wedding isnt surprising especially because we had an entire arc on BMs previous alliances and what she did.

I think the big announcement is going to be Yamato’s engagement to a Charlotte. If I had to make a guess on who it’d be, I’d say Flampe. Usually when the Big Mom pirates ally with/absorb an external force, there is always some sort blood contract involved via marriage (e.g Capone/Chiffon, Loki/Lola, Aladin/Praline, Sanji/Pudding) so it’d be very odd if there wasn’t one with the Kaidou alliance especially if you consider the amount of risk involved with this one.

I think Kaidou referred to it as a big announcement because of the turbulent relationship the two rival crews have shared over the years. An engagement between the two crews is a big deal will signify that both are in it for the long haul, sink or swim particularly if Kaidou’s going to be marrying off Yamato. Kaidou’s favor to Lilin could also potentially come into play here and could be a major reason why he decided to marry off Yamato specifically.

Think about it this way though: Kaido is saying it's going to sound confusing/surprising before they do everything else.

We as the reader already know that BM marries her children to allies. Kaido's crew already knows about the alliance, indicated by the random henchmen on the ships bragging about it to Luffy/Law/Kid.

It has to be surprising to the reader too, and it's why I don't think it's simply just a wedding, because we expect that news.
