Current Events Why Are People So Convinced it's 9 VAs vs Strawhats?

Honestly the Seraphim are done for the time being.
Either they’re out of commission or Vegapunk has no plans to take them into combat since they weren’t in the shot and the bandages look like the fight between them and straw hats continued.
Bonney and Lucci honestly feel like they’ll be limited to fodder clearing then a moment against Saturn (like Yamato in Wano)
Sentomaru screams Kizaru hype tool to me.
And Vegapunk is probably going to pull a Momo where at the very end he pulls an ace up his sleeve that’ll be an MVP play (likely using the giant robot to stall Saturn as the straw hats escape)

Yeah, in Two Piece.
Everybody not named Luffy is factually a side character, though, so that's not really a slight on either Brook or Chopper.

One of the main problems for me, is that Oda will never let fighters like Franky/Brook/Robin and fighters like Zoro/Sanji/Jinbe fight the same level of opponents.
When Zoro fought one of Doffy's Seats, Franky fought one of Doffy's Executives who ranked below the Seats.
When Zoro fought one of Kaidou's Calamities, Franky fought one of Kaidou's Tobi Roppo who ranked below the Calamities.
All 9 members won't be fighting people of the same level, either there'll be two distinct Powerlevels within the 9 Vice Admirals or the 3 Commanders of Luffy are simply going to fight a different opponent.

Wano was the big fight arc, this arc is far more about worldbuilding and the Gorosei/WG. At most we'll have a couple of quick fights and an escape from the Island

Vice Admirals are basically people that can use the most basic haki but have enough experience and tactical nous to lead large groups of Marines. They can range from Garp to Maynard in power. There are lower ranking Marines more powerful than a number of Vice Admirals - there are fodder VAs and strong VAs.

The release of the petrified hats implies the alliance got the Seraphim under control.
I am not particularly compelled by their absence in that double spread.

- In Wano he fought Tobi Roppo alongside Robin and Franky
- In Egghead he didn't fight a Seraphim like Luffy/Zoro/Sanji
Fair, Oda can easily solve this issue by making few of the VAs standout and giving them command & higher bounties.

Wano and Egghead Part 1, he didn't fight Zoro/Sanji calibre opponents.
Using Garp feels disingenuous because he explicitly turned down an Admiral promotion.
He proves nothing about VAs.
In fairness there's the Cross Guild bounty system. And we know some Marines have a bounty of 1 billion.
The Egghead VAs could be introduced as having varying bounties to set their power levels.
