I'm not really in the right headspace to write another essay right now, so this wouldn't be that.



Introduction
Many people have made the following two accusations:
  1. There is no narrative for ZKK
  2. Zoro fanboys just want ZKK to happen so they can jerk off Zoro

There are many other accusations, but I find these two particularly egregious.

I don't really care if you believe in ZKK or not anymore, but this claim that ZKK lacks any sort of narrative and is just wishful thinking to masturbate to Zoro? That's not just flat out dishonest, I find it offensive on a personal level.

I've spilt a lot of ink to lay out why I thought Zoro would fight Kaido, and also why I thought Zoro Killing Kaido was a plausible answer to "How is Kaido defeated?". Powerscaling/wanking Zoro was never a motivation when I wrote those threads and so acting like that's the only reason people believe in ZKK is just insulting.


I'd like to set the record straight and take this chance to signal boost my essays, because yes, there are narrative reasons to believe in ZKK.



Why Should Zoro Confront Kaido Again?



Why Should Zoro Kill Kaido?
  1. A look at Inherited Will in the Land of Wano
    • An analysis of the Oden's will to slay Kaido and open Wano's borders, passed on to his Scabbards and to Roronoa Zoro through Enma.
  2. The Second Advent
    • "Sword God" Shimotsuki Ryuma, Roronoa Zoro, and "the Second Ryuma".
  3. Long Live ZKK
    • Reasons to still believe in ZKK after chapters 1010 - 1012.
  4. Kaido Must Die
    • The narrative necessity of Kaido's death.
  5. No, Zoro is NOT "Done" After Defeating King
    • Zoro still has more to accomplish in the Wano arc in order to bring his character arc to a truly satisfying conclusion.



Conclusions
It's fine if you don't read the above threads — I'm not even asking you to — but please don't completely ignore them and then act like ZKK has no narrative legs to stand on, or is just fandom wishes to jerk off Zoro.

The only ones who says these things are Sanji fans because they can't bear to see Zoro make their little crybaby pervert robot lose even his shadow, they even shield themselves saying that Luffy is the MC, when is clear that in the eventuality they take Kaido down it will be together

There’s a narrative for Kid Killing Kaido. The reality however Always been Luffy the MC. When Kaido falls, We can all rest easy knowing nobody rewarding Zoro with the credit for Kaido defeat. Let alone something much better like, Killing him....

ZKK not even in the realm of possibility. Post Wano about Law/Luffy/Kid defeating the Yonko. Why the fuck would Oda undermined that with Zoro killing a Yonko?? Makes no narrative sense
