Oda literally drew Nami covered in blood laying on the ground before Ulti picked her up.
So exactly what I said, offpanelling.
Its your fault that you need it drawn out piece by piece, not Oda’s.
Yes, it is indeed my fault that I prefer to see an actual fight between combatants rather than:
-offpanel the bit where the villain shows their strength and beats the hero
-chapters of chase scenes where the villain fails miserably to land a hit on our hero
-gets a stronger character to weaken the villain drastically
-hero beats the villain thanks to a sentient weapon making up for her ineptness
With the ultimate result being at no point do we actually see a fight with any sort of give and take, exchange of attacks.
If Oda didn’t like it, he never would have put Nami in that situation to begin with
What kind of argument is this?
Yes, I can pretty clearly see that Oda does not like drawing Nami get hurt. He‘ll draw the aftermath, he’ll draw Usopp get Ulti-Mortared, but at zero points in the entire fight did we actually see Nami take damage.
Unlike her superior pre-skip fights.
The suggestion that Oda is less okay with showing Nami getting damaged than a kid (Tama) is ridiculous.
And yet it seems that is indeed the case, because he refused to show anyone hurt Nami. Can’t even remember the last time he did.
