That’s exactly my point. Nothing Luffy’s done CoC wise is unexpected or even remarkable. Glaring at Kaido while unconscious? So what? He doesn’t care. 2+ years he’s had this ability and trained under another CoC user, yet Zoro unlocked CoC coating before he did. Hence why Zoro’s Haki aka willpower is superior to Luffy’s.
Zoro isn’t even a CoC specialist. His real strength is armament, yet his CoC showings are better than most of the yonko and certainly better than Luffy’s given that Zoro hasn’t even using it consciously. He’s just that innately talented at CoC.

When Zoro can actually knock Kaido down then I'll give that Zoro can actually give Luffy a mid diff fight.
Oda specifically said Luffy out of the 3 specialises in CoC so is ahead of Zoro who can't even do it without holding Enma.

Luffy theoretically have red roc that can but until we see that he can , we give him the doubt
I think Zoro has had CoC all along and displayed it as early as East Blue against Mihawk. But none of the characters there, except Mihawk and perhaps Zeff, could recognize it. This sweat pearl on Mihawk indicates to me that Zoro unconsciously was using CoC while performing his final attack, not that Mihawk was impressed or scared by the attack. Thus Mihawk decided to spare him.
Mihawk also remarks upon Zoros incredible will, in other words his haki/ambition. And this was back when his skill level was closer to Johnny and Yosaku than Daz Bones.

I'll be my usual tyrant though, one reason Luffy or others haven't shown this type of CoC before might just be because Oda just made it up recently xD
Agreed. Luffy keeps harping on wanting to become pirate king, but take very few actual thought out steps to how to achieve it

Rayleigh stated that CoC is the embodiment of the willpower of the user itself. The stronger your willpower, the stronger your conqueror's haki gets.
@Kiiro make a good point here. The reason why Zoro suddenly unlocked Adv CoC in such a short amount of time is because he finally embraces his dream of WSS and doesn't talk about Luffy's PK dream all the time. And during his flashback with Kozaburo, he finally understand the concepts of the way of the swords and thus he was able to tamed Enma fully. While I don't necessary agree that Zoro's willpower is greater than Luffy's, it's undeniable that both are in the same caliber.
