Correction, I did search if that concept was already a thing. But I couldn't find any theorization of it anywhere. So I invented the term (first) Subversive dialogue but it wasn't representing well enough the concept so I choosed "subversive affirmation".
The fact that this already describe something else does not matter has it is not for storytelling.

DOn't worry I am. It's you who are not, after all, I don't see anyone looking at the actual article to understand the actual concept I'm theorizing.
There would be a storytelling enigma. What happened on wholecake with carrot would be a unique case in One Piece and would need to be explained in anotherway. I'm ok with Yamato joining in fact I want them to join. It's just unlikely for the moment 0.005% too unlikely for me.
Had Oda never put multiple subversive affirmation, I would be rooting for Yamato too right now, but he did.. so if Yamato has to join, something needs to happen that will twist (at least a little) their perception of the strawhat crew.
Nah, Carrot is not a leader, she won't become a captain.
You need to understand this:
Fact 1: Carrot is 15, she is still a teenager who want to enjoy life to the fullest
Fact 2: Carrot has been THE representation of the mink tribe in anyway shape or form since their introduction (even in front of Inu and Neko in both the story and the meta).
Fact 3: Carrot is not a leader and was never represented like one
Fact 4: Carrot has been shown LOVING the sea and the wonders of the world to a CRAZY extent.
Fact 5: Carrot left once zou before
Fact 6: Carrot LOVES the strawhats
So.. Looking at those facts, let see what could happen:
1 - Creating a crew for herself?
Why would she do that when she can just hop on the Sunny again. Plus fact 3, Carrot is not a leader.
So.. No
2 - Joining a crew of minks on sea ?
Why would she do that when she can just hop on the Sunny again and join the one crew she loves. Plus Carrot has been THE representation of the mink, why would she settle to be just a number in a crew when she was the face of the mink tribe ?
So.. No
3 - Staying on Zou / Wano ?
Why would she do that when she is sure to have a much better time on the sea? Remember fact 1 and 5, she is like a teenager beside of a roller coaster and she already left once before. Her characterization is clear : Carrot will seek fun EVERYTIME.
So.. no
4 - Being captured ?
Why not, but it would be odd for someone to capture Carrot out of nowhere
So.. very unlikely
> So the only thing that make sence if we follow the characterization of Carrot and those facts is that Carrot will want to have fun again, Zou will not be enough and she will sneak again on the Sunny. Remember the words of Oda "my character are sometime acting by themself)
Carrot sneaking on the Sunny is just the most simple and logical outcome. In fact, Carrot would have 1 panel in the entierity of Wano and this take would stay the same: She will sneak on board.

Don't worry, I understand fully the implication of those appearances.
Thanks for responding mate, and glad to know you like Yamato as well 👍
As for Carrot and minks representation, I initially thought Luffy would have every kind of folks on his ship - fishmen, giants, whatever Oda has for us in his imagination, plus some unusual peeps like Chopper, Brook, Franky, who technically belong to certain species but in reality are too unique to be properly categorized. And then Dressrosa and dwarves happened...and there are no dwarves in the SH crew. And even earlier there was Skypea and no one from there joined. So we may not have a representative of every kind of folks on Sunny, and it's possible that there won't be a mink in the crew. So yeah, if the minks must be represented, Carrot is the best candidate. But they don't have to :)
By the way, your mentioning that Carrot is 15 and other facts, makes me think of a teenager, who loves the adventure, but is denied to have one, and then when they finally get their adventure, it's usually a harsh awakening, with reality not being what they imagined before going to the adventure (think of what happened to Pedro and that loss against Perospero). Now, if Carrot was a main character, she'd continue her coming-of-age story, but the main character is Luffy, and we're following his journey, not Carrot's. And a lot of shorter stories with teenages getting what they wanted and facing the reality often end with them getting home and getting a new perspective, and appreciating what they had, like, for example, in the movie 13 going 30. So in this regard Carrot has already gained that enlightening experience, she got her adventure and somewhat matured, so , say, her or staying on Wano and helping to rebuild it makes as much sense to me, as her leaving with SH makes sense to you. I don't rule out the possibility of her sneaking in to Sunny again. But in my opinion it's like 5% likely. Sure, Carrot is seeking fun, but her experience so far tells her that the sea is not just fun, it's dangerous, potentially traumatic, and also can be boring (e.g. sailing for several days without anything happening).
is an artistic performance that overemphasizes prevailing ideologies and thereby calls them into question.[1][2][3] Simultaneously with affirmation, the affirmed concepts are revealed, and artists distance themselves from those concepts. Strategies of subversive affirmation include "over-identification", "over-affirmation" and "yes revolution".
An yet.. she is still the front representation of the mink tribe.
But I guess you should really compare that "good moment"..
to that:
and that:
That is NEXT LEVEL enjoyment and wonder.
That's Carrot characterization. Of course she will have fun on Zou or Wano. But nothing can compare to the joy she will feel with the crew on the sea. And that is something Oda prepared since her introduction.
Carrot will sneak onboard.. why ? Because she is like a teenager in front of a roller coaster with empty places and ready to go.
Hell I'll do you one better, here's wikipedia's definition of it.
Not a damn thing like what you are peddling, sit down and shut the fuck up, you clearly don't know a damn thing and are just a crook.
And you are just a bully not understanding a single thing I'm talking about. I'm sure you know that there can be multiple term describing different things .. right ? Well that the case here.
Now if you don't mind. Stop talking about the term I'm theorizing if you are not even willing to put the effort of reading the freaking article. Ok ?
On a side note, @Mtusi Ibusisi Mbungulu , your avatar looks like a disheveled Sanji with a WTF is going here face, can't help but chuckle every time I see that, where does that character come from?
Now, if Carrot was a main character, she'd continue her coming-of-age story, but the main character is Luffy, and we're following his journey, not Carrot's.

Très bien tkt
Are you saying that somehow Carrot is not amzed by the wonders of the sea anymore ?
Characterization don't disappear over night mate.
Cry me a river, I read enough to know that the shit your peddling smells awful.
You just don't want to be wrong, You and Finalsmegma have something in common. You both have narcissistic tendencies.
Nah, I doubt Robin, Jinbe, Franky & Brook will have to go thru coming-of-age again :D
It's true for the initial SH members, such as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji & Usopp, and to a certain extent for Chopper, but not for the whole crew. Character development - sure, coming-of-age - nah :)
