In any other manga I wouldn't believe that a villain like BM, with connections to Elbalf would fall in Wano. After all the build up of Luffy defeating her.

Taking big mom out of the story, having Law and Kid share in the glory of taking down an emperor plus gaining 3bil bounties to be the biggest feat of their pirate careers. They ran the race with Luffy and showed that they had a lot of potential but having their dreams crushed while Luffy succeeds. They’re just rivals for fame, Big Mom just a boss fight to give them more fame.

I have long given up on Oda writing BM in any good way. I have no delusion left about his capacity to write her or any female character well, or to show them as badass as male characters.

I think they meant Fuji and Ryo, if they arent Zoro and Sanji fights. Personally Sabo seems like a reservation for a WG member rather than a Marine, same with the other RAs.

Egghead currently is interesting. If Saturn is THAT strong and Aokiji arrives with the BB ship, i could imagine Luffy fighting Saturn, and Zoro/Sanji fighting the 2 Admirals, thereby leaving Kid/Law to fight Fuji/Ryo
if Luffy fights Akainu. Again, thats assuming Zoro/Sanji arent somehow involved in that.

Its not wasted potential cause he lost to shanks though post dr , doffy talked about the stronger ones crushing each other and weve now seen the fall of a good number of worstgen pirates, two yonkos, at some point the number of folks after the one piece had to be trimmed down .


I think the only damning thing was the moments he should have really shined , that is against big mom and perhaps even against shanks himself before he was crushed, he never got that.
