Character Discussion For the so called "World's Strongest Creature and Pirate" it seems like not that many cared about Kaido's defeat

Well I am optimistic that oda won't end manga like how Gege is doing
I still feel kaido and BM were just stepping stones and oda wanted Luffy to simply get over them.
His main focus throughout wano was oden wank, scabbards and that has to do with it being Japan centric arc
Now, we are done with it so I feel we won't be falling below that level

Well Yonkos were presented as a big deal, not just some mere stepping stones, and Oda did an abysmall job with them, especially with Big Mom which is a masterpiece of example of how to not write and treat your antagonist and female characters, when he surely had better ways to write and deal with them.
Plus he certainely fucked up too with characters such as Oden, Tama and Yamato or subplots such as the Udon mini-arc or Zeus, or waterfall and Nika stuff. And the fact that he managed to write such characters and things that way tells me that he has other cringeworthy and crappy stuff in store, with the late Nika stuff in Egghead confirming my fears so far.

Well BM is not my favorite character, but she had so much potential both as a character and in terms of powers, as well as many members of her family and crew. But we know how well Oda delivered with them, especially the female ones, and with the Beast Pirates as well.
I don't think that there is any One Piece character with which Oda has exposed his flaws and faults as much as BM.
Characters that are amongst my favorite are Katakuri, Crocodile, Doflamingo, Smoker, Enel, Kuzan, etc...

There wasn't even much exaggerated reaction to even WB death, when the war itself was broadcasted to entire world to see....
The world has seen Roger execution, WB demise etc expect a new lvl of reaction for BM and Kaido defeats??
What's Gorosei reaction to top1 Akainu lvl guy joining Emperor crew, actually no fks given but a badname to Marine org
Kaido and BM joining forces at least have some reaction.........to the point Akainu ask to forget about it coz they don't have enough strength in the mean time to stop two pirate captains weaker than an Admiral as per some fandom...

Thats because reality is that Kaido was pretty much silver medalist.
Kaido and Big Mom never got portrayal Roger / Whitebeard did . There isnt single sentence where Kaido / Big Mom were were said to be Rogers equal , that accolade was meant for Whitebeard.
Kaido was just next best thing after Whitebeard death thats whole deal about him being world strongest pirate.

WHitebeard lived his life as a true pirate gaining territories and influence around the world while Kaido just remained in Wano an isolated country . Thats also reason why Kaido downfall never had much impact as Whitebeard downfall did.

Even in death Whitebeard was never sullied. Kaido and Big Mom got trashed and defeated, even at end Whitebeard body was never shown hitting the ground , he died while standing , his life simply expired . His dying words left a huge impact on one piece universe and reignited the flames of pirates all around the world.
Whitebeard downfall in fact marked an end of part 1 of One Piece, Kaido / BIg Mom downfall didnt mean shit and manga went on with Egghead arc.
Even at Wano arc pinnacle of Kaido / Big Mom wank , Oda still shit on them by giving them inferior bounties to the Whitebeard. So not even recency Odas bias put those 2 above likes of Whitebeard.

That’s because Kaido never really had time to create An era like the others.
Whitebeard had 20 years as the undisputed strongest
Roger was basically running the grand line for 18 years
Kaido had like 2 years where he was the strongest but not far from the other emperors so him leaving didn’t create a vacuum like the others.

LOL, he had 20 years to create an era. Whitebeard did nothing but sit in middle of the sea for 20 years. When your bumass doesn't go and fight other Yonko and admirals, you're not gonna create shit. When the last relevant fight you had was 20 years ago and you're still traumatized from a guy whose reputation is merely "A commander of WB" you're not gonna create shit.

Other than the Gorosei who were only angry for a little bit because of the whole power balance issue, it seems like not that many even cared that Kaido along with Big Mom were defeated.
Ergo, Fall of Kaido and BM marked the start of a new era.
