One doesn't exclude the other. Some DF users having peak Haki doesn't disprove that Haki has a higher ceiling than DFs. Luffy's Bajrang gun for example was also fueled with all types of Haki it derived its potency from. And Luffy's fruit in particular isn't focused on pure combat strength but is centered around the freedom aspect of uniting people and freeing them.

The Gorosei were sent back due to the negation of the summoning circle, if it wasn’t for that they would’ve kept going

my point was simple. Even one of the best haki users was after a DF. You’re limiting your brain if you think haki fighters don’t gain anything from eating DFs. For ex Zoro would gain a lot from eating Kaido’s DF

Garp , roger's rival didn't use haki like that directly. Shanks did put GB out of his golem mode but needed to use a named attack to beat Kidd rather doing the same he did to GB.

Depends whether haki only top tiers will have such high level of haki or not. I am talking about complete DF negation through out the entire fight time.

nik87 is right. The DF merchants are falling 1 by 1. The Admirals are the easiest target because the other like Luffy is protected by main character's plot armor and Blackbeard is not mere DF merchant but DFs merchant.

Not really, since Luffy's fruit, pre awakening, was pretty useless. He improved it with Gears but those were only decent for preskip standards. In the timeskip, it was all about learning Haki. G4 was all about infusing large amounts of Haki into his new form, fighting against Katakuri was all about learning advanced CoO, fighting against Kaido was all about learning all types of advanced offensive Haki types (internal destruction, barrier, ACoC). So the moment Luffy awakened his fruit, he already pushed his Haki to top tier level and even now, his fruit when it comes to offensive power, needs to be amped by Haki. It's not like your typical paramecia that gives you control over an element and the ability to weaponize the surroundings, let alone the power output of the Logia.

I am talking about their DFs getting negged by one blast one haki.
Saturn is still on Egghead and his DF was negged just the same.
No, Zoro would not get anything from eating Kaido's devil fruit because in front of Mihawk, such ability cannot manifest.

Maybe it's precisely why Kaido is stating that, because he understands. Because he knows the world, met all the relevant top tiers (Xebec, Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks, Big Mom, ...) and knows enough of the world to have learned of Joyboy and the importance of Wano. Guy knows what he's talking about.
