The point is "experience" and as some users have already noted in this thread, the official Spanish translation has been referred to as "inaccurate", though I wouldn't even go that far.

I try and stress context as much as I can, because this is the same shit Artur got into an argument with Stephen over on Twitter and lost horribly. Luffy is quite literally saying that with him there, it'll take 3 seconds. However, CONTEXT dictates that you can either specify Luffy saying HE can do it in 3 seconds or TOGETHER with his help they can do it in 3 seconds.

Translating Japanese is not easy and why honestly I stopped having the time to study for it. You can read shit literally, but time and time again you can get proven wrong by context alone. Stephen simply took Sanji/Luffy arguing as Luffy thinking he can get it done faster, insulting Sanji, then Jinbe comes out of nowhere and shows them both up. That's the whole gag, at LEAST to Stephen's view in my opinion. He could probably write several paragraphs as to why he chose to translate it this way.

I understand that, but as you said we're relying on the understanding of contextual clues by Stephen's personal viewpoint for that particular scene, not even the one mainly discussed here. I guess the debate should focus on to what extent the context of Queen's scene supports wording a completely different structure than unofficial English translations and the official in Spanish, as Sanji is explicitly put out of the "second and third strongest" part and only addressed as Judge's son while Queen checks Zoro's and Sanji's wanteds with the latter's on top and talks about their group instead of crew. While the other scene can be easily understood in different ways depending on the context you perceive, to what extent the Japanese text is vague enough to allow completely different structures and meanings? And let's get this right, I prefer Stephen's translations over those of the Spanish guy (his translations are indeed poor on a regular basis), but this particular difference plus how the Spanish one is very similar to previous versions makes me rather be skeptical for now.

thats not what it says.

The word too adds sanji meaning he wasnt a part of the previous sentence.

In the end ALL translations point to Queen wanting to meet Sanji essentially at this point. The narrative pretty much has a YC actually wanting to go after a strawhat thats not Luffy.

I feel like the entire fanbase should be celebrating, because at this point it likely means that Luffy's "top" members (Zoro, Sanji and Jinbe) will surpass YCs this arc. This is fundamentally important to the growth of the crew.

Honestly, who the fuck cares about power scaling. Zoro and Sanji are close in strength, we know this. We've known this for 20 years. We should be celebrating the fact that these 2 are probably going to get sick fights against King/Queen, two commanders probably extremely close in strength anyway, just as Zoro/Sanji are.

Don't turn this into a personal issue to simplify the debate. I deserve anything One Piece and Oda can give and still have my respectful doubts on this particular issue, without that implying that I'm attacking Stephen Paul. Not everything is a disgusting attack made by an undefined mass of individuals that are easy for you to handle.
