Oda might have had a different order of events in mind
@Garp the Fist
Could be why you thought it makes no sense for Zoro vs King to happen anymore after the roof was set up as it was.
The implications of that narrative could however have lasting consequences through the remaining of the story, with Zoro's achievement opening a new avenue for him as a swordsman compared to Oden, and the path that will eventually allow him to overall surpass Oden as well strictly from a power...
It's possible that the making of a black blade is not as much of a "power level" achievement as it is as a new milestone in furthering one's relationship with his sword.
For example Shanks might not have a black blade because of that reason.
In the same vein, Oden might have just brute forced...
Basically means there's something more that adds to his ability to soak damage beside his DF.
Like Page One, Ulti and X Drake just have Dino DF's but regular human bodies.
Queen has Dino DF + Modified body
King has Dino DF + Lunarian traits
:myman:
It's true tho we can all share the hype :kayneshrug:
We know that Kaido got followers because of his strength, and that promotions are given in his crew if you are strong enough to beat up someone who already holds that spot, and in return if you are not strong enough you lose your position...
All of King feats hype Queen for having close bounty and portrayal alongside him :steef:
Kings new durability feats also hype Marco's AP for making him bleed with a knee to the face, and then hype up Queen's tankyness for taking multiple named attacks from Marco with no lasting damage :funky:
Sanji would have done the same if Zeff was anywhere within reach.
You don't seem to grasp that sometimes there are definitive consequences to one's actions that are simply unavoidable and must be dealt with as presented.
Zoro realized this when he offered himself instead of Luffy. He...
Well Sanji will be the worlds greatest at something as well :milaugh:
Whitebeard's "ambition" was to have a family. He also had a rule that no one can attack someone from his family without consequences, but he backed off from that with Blackbeard. Sanji > Whitebeard, he sticks to his code...
Of course he's alive now that Sanji basically saved Judge and Germa, after it was revealed what Big Mom's real plan was with the wedding.
It's hilarious how you judge what Sanji should have done in certain known conditions, based on the outcome that resulted from all of those conditions being...
Taking on the BMP would not save Zeff's life.
Oda clearly built this as a "no way out for Zeff" if Sanji fights back
There's no "risk", it's as good as Sanji killing Zeff with his own hands if he acts against these conditions.
That's what the story tells us, so that's the fact of the...
What are you on about ? Sanji's the character who puts himself most at risk of death for his beliefs or to protect others with no hesitation at all. Doing that is the easiest thing in the world for Sanji.
Having to make the decision to break away from Luffy and sacrifice his journey alongside...
You gave the Oden example where he had to do something just for a period of time.
Sanji's forced to forget his life going forward to ensure Zeff's safety, that's the deal he's getting. Like how Zoro had to make the deal with Kuma where he was willing to trade his life for Luffy's.
Sanji's end of the deal required for Zeff to not be killed was to marry Pudding and become part of Big Mom's family.
This wasn't a temporary deal, but a life commitment.
And the deal in Sanji's case was that Zeff doesn't get killed if Sanji goes through with the wedding.
Obviously both Zoro and Sanji got locked into these deals because they did not have a better alternative to ensure Luffy's and Zeff's survival.
