How is Weird characters try gets revenge all time in one piece. Is nothing really new. Kyros, whitebeard tried, Ace tried, Franky, and even robin.

Because Perospero did not kill Pedro. All he did was defend when he came to attack him and then he blew himself which cost him his arm...clearly we can see who actually was the victim here.

This whole revenge plot is just oda tying loose knots before arc ends, whether it happens or not(probably won't because it's weird).

Oda untied that end himself by having Pedro die in the first place. Death has always been a big game-changer in OP. There has to be a reason why Oda set up Carrot needing to avenge Pedro. It's not just for cheaply raised stakes.

Yamato's clearly an awesome character, no denying that. But it's all going to the benefit of Momo, as I knew it would. Yamato is Momo, Shinobu and Oden's man, not Luffy or the Straw Hat's.

I want Carrot to join, but Yamato's being tied to the Oden side of things does not detract her chances of joining. Jinbe's ties to the plot were more in relation to protecting his people rather than the strawhats. He really only had a big relationship with Luffy prior, just like Yamato. Yamato also has heavy ties to Ace, which we don't know about yet, plus the still continued desire to set sail with Luffy and leave Wano, this has been explicitly stated by the character.

To introduce a major arc related character 50-60% into an arc with no payoff but the arc itself is extremely poor planning on Oda's part otherwise. Shes clearly here to be more than just a Wano character, otherwise she's entirely pointless overall.

So Yamato will potentially be so moved by Luffy beating up his dad or something that he'll leave behind Momo, the one he's just now swearing to protect with his life, and Shinobu, the one who helped inspire Yamato to become Oden in the first place? Anything's possible, I guess.

Luffy does similar things too. It's not like he goes around sticking with them. What was implied here is pretty clear, 20 years ago she wanted to help Oden and his retainers but could not. This time, well first of all she actually is protecting him due to Luffy. And the second oda gave better reason than just Luffy's words. Probably hinting more towards her admiration of Oden's life and a possible flashback(hopefully) about why she admires Oden. Her goal in Wano is opening the borders which could pretty much happen(or start to happen) at the end of the arc which I think is more of her trying to complete Oden's dream. Her dream is to go on adventures given her setup and was also the first thing she mentioned.

I guess people like Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Franky, and Jinbe didn’t leave anyone they cared about behind so they could join Luffy’s crew and follow their dream with the support of those people

They all had living bonds that were formed well before they met Luffy. Yamato literally had no one after Ace came and went. Now he has Momo and Shinobu relying on him, and those bonds in the making deserve not to be cut short so soon.

The thing is, once this Wano fight is over, Yamato will have to have a new lease on life, We do know she wants to go on a ship, she wants to leave Wano/Onigashima... So for her to put her roots into staying in Wano just sounds out of character either way.

It's Momo and Shinobu that are helping Yamato build roots, giving him a darn good reason to reconsider. There may still be a bigger reason for Yamato to leave in the end, but it won't be because he can't bear to stay or isn't welcome.

I disagree. Momo nor Shinobu are saying anything to consider Yamato rooting herself, Especially after we know she wants to leave the island... Your saying she's going to 180 on her previous talks, As if meeting Ace and wanting to go ride on a ship out of there mean nothing.

It was already foreshadowed back in WCI that Carrot would have a confrontation with Perospero. She has a bone to pick with him specifically so this was inevitable. However, Big Mom isn't going down this arc, so I speculate she may participate in the inevitable confrontation of the Big Mom Pirates against the Straw Hat Crew.

Maybe Smoothie will finally get a fight and do something lol.

Perospero was the reason Pedro blew himself up. The dude was the reason the Sunny couldn't blast off and escape, he also trapped Brook and Chopper in candy that was eventually going to kill them, too. So Pedro's sacrifice to buy the Straw Hats time to escape, free the Sunny, and save Chopper and Brook was definitely Perospero's fault.

So, yeah...

Im not gonna fully deny carrot chances of joining like

1. She could be a lookout
2. Pedros will
3. Enjoys traveling
4. Shes able to blend in with them pretty well

At the same time the negatives are just as big imo

1. Shes decently strong for her age but other than that she doesn't feel like anything special compared to the other strawhats or even the other minks
2. Most her abilities could honestly probably be done or learned by chopper and they already feel pretty similar
3. Hers and luffy barely interacting. Even he and pekoms have a legit bond

I like her eh idk

Possibly, because that desire to leave was before Yamato found out Momo and the Akazaya were still alive. It's entirely possible that the connection to Oden's son, something Yamato never had a hope of gaining before, becomes more important to him. At the very least, it will give Yamato's final decision a lot more weight, whether leaving or staying.

Jinbe and Luffy's initial connection was built up over a whole year of interaction, ending with Jinbe saving Luffy's life both physically and mentally. Yamato and Luffy just met, and now Yamato is saving Momo and Shinobu's lives after finding out they're still alive. The bond is clearly between those three. Luffy and Yamato's connection to Ace has always felt like an afterthought.

Yamato was clearly created as a red herring to further distract from Carrot. A super strong and cool character who just asks to join Luffy? Of course people are gonna dig that. It's Carrot that's been weaved in with greater care and subtlety. It's Carrot who has the deeper connection with the whole crew.

I'd say wait as the raid continues. She's been sticking around this long, must mean something. The Dawn of the World needs to be brought to her attention again. Honestly speaking, I don't really see a reason on her end why she wouldn't keep traveling with the Straw Hats.

Even if you don't think she'll officially join the crew by the arcs conclusion, I can definitely see her sticking around for her adventure.

That would be a possibility. After all, Yamato chose to just carry Oden's will because she thought the scabbards were dead. Whether she still wants to carry his will now is questionable because her reason has already become meaningless.

Yeah, that would be like saying Wapol killed Hiriluk, even though Hiriluk was the one that blew himself up.

It was more of the fact that Wapol had actually taken all the doctors of Drum Island for himself and his selfish actions that left the island without health care, the one that Hiruluk tried to fill in despite being a quack doctor.

Also, Wapol mocked his death which would obviously piss you off.

All of the strawhats so far really stuck out in comparison to where they're from and carrot sadly just doesn't. There are so many stand out minks it just hurts carrot like the dukes, pedro, pedro, etc.

I do see and understand the reasons people want/think she should join tho.
And if it really does end up happening hopefully she eats a logia like the snow theory at least cause i still want a logia in the crew

I can see why that's the case for some. But you'd have to remember Pedro was more on the forefront of WCI because he had history of conflict there. Inuarashi and Nekomamushi are vassals of Lord Oden, so of course they'd have a stronger presence in an arc that has more to deal with their relationship with said character.

Carrot feels insignificant because she's never at the forefront of the narrative to move it anywhere, which makes her all the more curious. It leads you to think where is this going?

You're assuming I said she'd fight Smoothie. I said that a confrontation with the Straw Hats will hopefully give incentive for her to get her ass up and do something.
