If Carrot actually ends up joining then Oda needs to kill off Chopper and replace him with somebody more interesting like Marco or Law to be the Crew’s new doctor.

But in all seriousness, can you just imagine if Chopper’s death ends up being the tragedy of Act III?

I know that this isn’t ever gonna happen because Oda doesn’t have the balls to. But just imagine?

It would turn Chopper from a useless background character into a Martyr. And he’s been with us for almost 20 years so his death would actually resonate.

It would show how serious of a threat the Yonko are and it would force real growth on the SHs part.

That would make the story a hell of a lot more interesting. And we potentially get a more interesting character as our doctor (Marco, Law) as well.

I know it’s never gonna happen but just imagine.

It says a lot when Oda's sketch of thug Chopper from his "what if things went wrong section" would be a ten times more interesting and cool character.
