Initially, Marco will fight king. Marco, however, will be injured or get injured by the big mom pirates. Due to this, King will defeat him, not before marco deals some damage.

Then Zoro steps in and finishes the fight.

That means King is miles above Katakuri.

I think Marco could outright lose to the big mom pirates. It doesn't make sense for him to be so strong that he can beat Perospero, smoothie, daifuku, compote, and everyone else all at once. If marco goes into the fight with king having already taken serious damage, then king could win quite easily.

I mean his bounty is already probably close to twice that of Katakuri but taking on Marco and on top of that Zoro places him quite high, it wouldnt surprise me if King gets a portrayal as someone who wants to challenge Kaido for his spot. Meanwhile, Katakuri lost to a boy who kept standing up...

Zoro or Marco can still help against Kaido later, Zoro can scar Kaido and Marco can act as tanker. Yet King's defeat still won't be a clean 1 vs 1.
