1. Headcanon. Vista and Mihawk together decided to postpone because it’d be best for both of them. So yes vista did stall Mihawk and Mihawk couldn’t just end it

2. Kaido literally said he was giving them the opportunity to kill him and they couldn’t cut him deep enough to even injure him then he annihilated them in his base state.
