Hey bud, I think you’re making the mistake of assuming that Queen is an honorable fighter who will actually have a true 1 vs 1 with Sanji.... The majority of his arsenal/abilities consist of using different plagues so that those infected can inflict damage for him. But, good try though.

I can’t tell if the Zoro praise is supposed to be funny/ a meme or if you guys seriously think bringing up alternatives to your established beliefs/expectations is hating on Zoro......?

I created this thread for clout, not half assed toxicity.

There’s also no set up for the two to fight, and the opportunity was certianly there. Zoro and King where in the same building for a good ten chaoters and never interacted with each other once. Instead, it’s all been build up to Zoro fighting Kaido- King would just be a detour. Oda has to somehow write Zoro- having already said multiple times that he doesn’t want to waste any time or energy on someone who isn’t Kaido, because Kaido will take everything they have and more- leaving Kaido be and going after King instead.

There’s also the fact that we’re now eagerly awaiting seeing what damage Zoro’s swords can do to Kaido, so... do we really expect King to be able to stand up to an Enma fight?

Marco choked both King and Queen. Marco have no serious business to fight either of the Calamity. The reason why Marco come to Wano is to assist/heal the Alliance. He still have unfinished business with Big Mom so I think he should go straight for her.

I think Oda would not introduce Marco to the rooftop fight given his portrayal involving Zoro and the way he announced the WorstGen. It would sound too weird not sure if you get me bud.

Yeah this was good theory by @Crush too bad King is a weakling
  1. The citizens of Ebizu, the leftover town, will be very important for Zoro later on. He received water from them and vowed to protect them. With Onigashima coming to Wano, Zoro protecting them will be put to the test.
  2. Zoro and King fight in Ringo. The battle of Samurai in the snow.
  3. Onimaru/Gyukimaru realizes that Zoro is Ushimaru's Son. More backstory with Zoro and his relationship to the Shimotsuki Clan and Village.
  4. Onimaru also reveals to Zoro that King killed his Master Ushimaru.
  5. More Info on Ryuuma's history and Black Blades.
  6. King is revealed to be a female. This will lead to perhaps a flashback with Kuina, the person who defeated him 2000 times.
  7. Hiyori's Presence in Ringo will be very important. Zoro will once again meet her. He may have to protect her again.
  8. Remember how close Ringo was to the capital? Zoro will run once again there to confront Kaidou after his fight with King after obtaining a higher level of swordsmanship.
  9. Nidai Kitetsu is the Blade of Ushimaru Shimotsuki, Zoro's Father. Ushimaru wanted this sword to be given to his son.

The only, only way Zoro vs King can believably happen is if King takes the initiative to go after Zoro himself.

This chapter gave us something to work with. King could notice his captain’s in danger if he lets the green haired swordsman continue to attack him.

But even then, Marco is preventing him from going anywhere. Do you believe King can Marco quick enough to get to Zoro?

I’m expecting Oda to do one of two things with Sanji and the RS
-have Queen able to temporarily disable it due to his knowledge of Judge, or more likely
-have Black Maria steal it, so Robin has to beat her and get it to Sanji, a la the need to beat CP9 to get the keys to Zoro/Usopp/Robin’s handcuffs.

Either way, I don’t think Sanji is swanning into the fight with Queen, armed with RS, Queen’s various plague completely neutralised from the beginning. I do very much expect to see base Sanji vs Queen, at least for a bit, with the RS being the thing that turns the tides, when he can finally use it.

We also notably don’t actually know that the RS can even deal with Queen’s plagues- we only expect it. It’s never actually been said in series that the RS can block infectious diseases- it being durable and fire resistant is what was hyped up. Does Queen, with his knowledge of the Vinsmokes, have a way to deal with raid suits? Who knows, but it certainly can’t be ruled out.

We have actually seen, three times in two chapters, Zoro being totally comfortable dealing with the fire of two characters vastly stronger than King. Zoro would have to be completely without his swords for a fight with King where King’s fire could actually play any role. He’d be as well being called King the Tornado or something in that situation, because his fire is irrelevant.

Unless Oda makes King’s magic fire different from BM and Kaido’s magic fire, there’s very little reason to see Zoro fight it. And I’m not really seeing a situation where we have Zoro cutting BM and Kaido’s fire, King having somehow better fire that Zoro can’t cut, and him then needing to learn mid fight to cut a different kind of fire. That’s just... kinda dumb.
