Shusui is one of the two black blades in existence that we know of, a 21 Great Grade Sword wielded by the former hero of Wano, famous for slaying a dragon.

Enma is not a black blade, a 21 Great Grade Sword wielded by a former Shogun of Wano, famous for wounding a dragon.

Hype's... pretty much the same.

"So by the time I'm used to this, it'll mean I've gotten that much stronger, won't it?"

That does not make the sword a powerup. It is the process of getting used to it that makes him stronger. And what does he need to get use to? The sword forcing out his haki and making his attacks far stronger, and more costly, than Zoro intends.

Zoro is getting stronger by refining the flow of haki. Right now Emma is like a tap that's always on full blast. His training is learning to regulate the flow of that tap so the sword doesn't leave him a shrivelled husk whenever he uses it.

Yes, Zoro is getting stronger. But it's not because he's picked up a sword that magically makes him stronger. It's not the case that Zoro+Enma is stronger than Zoro+Shusui- far from it. It's the haki training that's making him stronger

Yes again this process would not be possible without Enma. So again it is PU.

No it isn't.

It's like saying that wearing seastone was a power up for Luffy. It wasn't, it just provided him with the opportunity to get stronger.

When Zoro replaced two crap nameless swords with two Meito, that was a powerup.

When he replaced a 50 Grade with a Black 21 Grade, that's a powerup.

Swapping a Black 21 Grade for a 21 Grade is not a powerup. It's just provided him with the opportunity for training.

Mihawk Reigns Supreme
Zoro will fight King. The dude has a prominent katana on his waist, has a weird fire thing going on, which Zoro has shown interest in cutting, and the dude's personality is more in line with Zoro's opponents in arcs - he's the competent intimidating Mr. 1 to Queen's Mr. 2.

And there's no way in hell Sanji is fighting someone stronger than Zoro, ESPECIALLY in this arc, so Zoro vs Kyoshiro or Zoro vs Orochi as his final fight is off the shelf. If Kyoshiro stays a villain, he'll be a hype tool for Zoro.

Just let the Grandmaster fight all of them, he held back enough. It is his time now. :finally:

Difference is Luffy aint gon fight with Sea Stone. This sword will keep on letting him excel in strength. Its PU no matter how you see it. Without Enma this wouldnt be possible. If Shisui was this good then it wouldve done the same with. Im sorry but people are scared to wield Enma whilst pre timeskip Zoro could wield Shusui. And its practically a PU since Zoro will have it trained by fire festival since Hitetsu said hes getting the hang of it pretty quickly. If he never got Enma in this point of time he would not be as strong as he will be oncd he goes to the Fire Festival.

ITS A PU PERIODTTT

But you agree that it's a PU Zoro has to train for? :kata:

Shusui- one of the 21 grade swords, made unique by being a Black Blade
Enma- one of the 21 grade swords, made unique by having a forced haki drain

Neither sword is a step up from each other. Enma will be when Zoro pushes it up a grade, but until then, nope. They are both 21 Grade Swords with their own unique selling points. They're both better than Wado, which is just a well made sword without any unique features, but measured up against each other neither is a step up. Shusui is just easier to use because you don't need to be a skilled ryou user to fight with it.

If Enma was one of the 12 it would be a powerup. If Zoro had picked it up and said "with this sword I am stronger than I was with Shusui" it would be a power up. If Enma, say, turned its user invisible and gave them iron skin it would be a powerup. Instead it's the haki process Zoro is going through that's making him stronger. Enma's a training tool for that.
