Can we stop pretending that Yamato is trans? When we have actual trans characters like Kiku it's made clear. Yamato is almost always refered to as female or "daughter of Kaido". She doesn't identify as male, she identifies as Oden. She even got mad at Luffy when he called her the masculine version of her name.

if it was not oden but toki whom she admired then people would not be confused I guess, though its not even complicated. Simple fact is she is a tomboy due to odens influence or since she is tomboy she loved odens way of living

In my personal opinion I think Yamato just idolizes Oden to be strong and tough like he is. She’s just a classic tomboy, tough girl and she speaks like a typical yankee style female character. If anything yamato comes as warrior type character and mentality. I’ve always thought that Yamato may have grew up in an environment where she may raise and brought up as man. She doesn’t live her life as a normal girl. There are plenty of anime characters that are quite similar to Yamato in there own Personality. In chapter 994 Yamato doesn’t even classify there gender at all when the person says “My other name is Yamato and I’m willing to die for you”. In chapter 996 when Yamato says oden’s would never do such thing. It’s more moral obligation or warrior code to protect those around you. I kind compare girls you would
