As per Crocodile, being an awakened Zoan means that you don't stay down for long. Your greatest strength is your toughness and recovery speed. Which in this context does mean something since you suggested Kaido just stays down after being defeated.

Kaido lost 7 times before that no one killed him.
So why now ?

The important part is that despite being tortured and executed he still survived and he escaped the prison coming back to Wano. If you defeat him again he is going to escape and come back to do a Wano 2.0.

After the last chapter it is clear Luffy will defeat Kaido , he is confident. Luffy is not an idiot he can sense the haki of his enemy and know how strong he is. Luffy is strong himself but his best weapon his unbreakable will. he never doubt himself and that is power as Rayleigh said.

The fight isn't over nor is Wano. Zoro is good at giving Luffy a dose of reality. If he beats Kaido in a 1v1 does he even have other enemy? After defeating Kaido you should give Luffy alr the PK title.

It's too early for Luffy to defeat Kaido one on one. Onigashima hasn't even reached the Flower Capital. Now Straw Hat will take the lead for a bit, but I think in a while someone will have to come and save him again (maybe Yamato).

Kaido’s been weakened, he might not try his hardest against his daughter- who he wants to make Shogun, remember- and Yamato’s DF has a fair bit of hype behind it, since it made Sasaki look fairly panicked. Plus Yamato’s just decently strong on her own right in base.

I very much doubt that Yamato’s as strong as Zoro and Law as well, but there’s still reason to think she will play some part in the defeat of Kaido.

He hates it but he said that he hates but he also said that he won't do thing like changing the ending even if someone guesses it. Like, everyone knew that Zoro will scar Kaido and Oda didn't change it just because ppl guessed that. Same thing applies for the come back of Asura.
