Because they belong in the nut house. Katakuri represented YC1, they're around the same power give or take some error or so. Luffy moved on from YC and is on Yonko's and Admirals, he's at the in between atm.
Luffy defeats the invincible Lord Katakuri who I am pretty sure is stronger than King back in WCI and Luffy also learned Advanced CoA and somehow King is still stronger than Luffy? And don't even come up to me and say King is stronger than Luffy because he uses a sword

I really don't see why King should be "necessarily" below luffy currently just because people want him to be..
luffy fought only 2 yonkou commanders his entire life and all of a sudden he must be above all the other yonkou commanders just because he's supposed to face Kaido this arc? Even when there are other people to help him?
Katakuri may have been tailor made by Oda to mirror luffy but we know neither the navy nor the other Emperors(including Bb commanders) batted an eye at his defeat through Morgan's article..If Katakuri does really represent the top and peak of yonkou commander strength, how come his defeat was both grouped with cracker and shown to be no big deal??
Katakuri was also portrayed to be invincible in Wci and we know he has individual hype other than being Bm's son and which is based on strength, but then how come the Navy deems Both King and Queen(who are supposedly riding Kaido's threat hype according to peoole) much more dangerous than him? I mean shouldn't the supposedly strongest yonkou commander who has the "biggest current individual hype" be the one with the biggest bounty on the base of his strength alone? Since when is the strongest of a category portrayed to be the least dangerous?
On topic I think luffy,Marco, Who's who and Zoro are going to face King in some capacity in the upcoming war with various degrees of seriousness in the clashes/fights.

So, by standing up against Katakuri, Luffy is somehow above all other YC1's despite all of them having a different combat style?
Weird power scaling you got there... Especially considering that match-ups matter the most, especially after seeing Cracker being so effective against Luffy while being "weaker"...
Luffy learned aCoA and that is a reason why he is above YC1's? Because his lethality increased a bit? All YC1's with weapons are still more lethal than Luffy with aCoA. Katakuri was a glass cannon without the cannon part. Base form Luffy drew blood from him while current Luffy with G3 barely drew blood or didnt at all against someone like PageOne... Dont compare someone like King to Katakuri, he is superior in every way. Luffy doesnt stand a chance even against Katakuri if PIS isnt affecting him, let alone someone like King...

All of the YC1 are the same level, if you beat a YC1 you're automatically stronger than the others unless there's a huge gap between them which I highly doubt that. As you said, match-ups and fighting styles are matter. And no, Cracker was not weaker than Luffy lmaoHe was dominating Luffy until Luffy pulled out Gear 4 Tank manAnd Advanced CoA is a huge power-up. Don't know why you said otherwise
